The people I trust to Photograph my Wedding
A small circle of wedding photographers: hand-selected, fully briefed, and quietly extraordinary. Trained inside the Mio Sison studio to carry the same light, the same rigor, the same room-reading instinct into days I cannot cover myself.
An associate means something specific here.
CHAPTER I - A DEFINITION
MIO SISON STUDIO, EST. 2022
“Associate photographer” gets thrown around loosely in this industry. In our studio, it is a short, deliberate list — vetted, trained, and held to the same standard as my own hand.
Our associates are not subcontractors, not a roster of names, not a referral list. They are full-time wedding photographers I have personally selected for their eye, their temperament, and the way they behave in a room full of people they have only just met.
They shoot with the same kit, on the same fast primes. Their work is culled and edited by me. The gallery you receive — whether I am behind the camera or they are — reads like a single hand, a single point of view, a single studio.
CHAPTER II - THE FIVE ASSURANCES

What an associate is, and what it is not.

Five principles that hold, regardless of who presses the shutter on your wedding day. They are the reason this program exists at all; and the reason it remains small.

The Mio Sison Studio look, without compromise.

Film-inspired, vibrant, light and airy. The editorial-meets-documentary blend the studio is known for — preserved in every frame.
- Shot on the same fast prime lenses
- Editorial pacing with documentary attention
- Every gallery culled and edited by Mio
The same full-service experience.
Same questionnaires, same timeline planning, same hospitality. The only difference is who is physically holding the camera.
- Identical prep guides + timeline builder
- Same posing and candid-to-editorial balance
- Your associate is briefed on every person who matters
Handpicked, vetted, working photographers.
Full-time wedding photographers — not side-gig subcontractors. Selected for style, personality, and the way they carry themselves in a room.
- Chosen for intuition, poise, and people-skills
- Comfortable leading groups when it helps
- Fluent in reading energy and staying out of the way
More flexibility - without Sacrificing Quality

Backed, personally, by Mio
You book through the studio, not through a stranger. I handle every inquiry, every timeline, every gallery. In the rare case I become available again, I may step in myself at no additional cost.
- One point of contact, from inquiry to delivery
- Communication, planning, editing handled by Mio.
If Mio opens up, he may shoot personally; at no extra charge

These,

The associate program was built for a specific kind of client - one who cares about the quality of the frame, but also about how a wedding day actually feels when the right person is holding the camera.

CHAPTER V - QUESTIONS, CONSIDERED
Before you inquire.
FAQ
Will Mio Still be involved if we book an associate?
Yes. Every associate booking is still, unmistakably, a Mio Sison studio booking. Mio will personally:
- Hold your consultation and handle every conversation
- Design your coverage, timeline, and day-of pacing
- Brief your associate on your story, your people, and your priorities
- Cull and edit every photograph in the final gallery
- Oversee your experience from inquiry through delivery
The only real difference is who is physically photographing your day.
Can we meet our associate before the wedding?
Yes. And we encourage it. Most couples meet their associate during the engagement session, which becomes a natural way to establish rapport before the day.
If an engagement session isn't part of your collection, we can arrange a short video introduction in the month leading up to your wedding.
Are associate weddings lower quality? Is this a "budget" option?
No. Associate weddings are not a discount tier - they are a flexibility tier.
The gear, the editing, the planning, and the delivery are identical to a Mio-shot wedding. What changes is date availability and, for some collections, investment level. You are buying the same studio, on a different hand.
Who edits our photos?
Mio. Personally. Every frame in your final gallery is culled and color-corrected by the same hand, so the studio's look remains consistent across the entire archive.
This is the single most important reason associate galleries feel like Mio Sison galleries - and not a hybrid of styles.
What happens if something happens to our associate photographer?
The studio has contingencies for contingencies. If your assigned associate has an emergency, another associate or Mio personally steps in - fully briefed on your story and your timeline.
You never lose coverage. You never lose the standard. That is the point of a studio model.
How do we see pricing for associate collections?
Associate collections are shared during your inquiry. Drop us a note with your wedding date, location, and the kind of day you are planning, and we will send the full price sheet along with our availability.
