Summit County, Colorado

Beth and Dio met me with the dogs already in the back seat. We drove to Copper, skied, took a midday break the way you do when you have nowhere else to be, then skied some more. The itinerary was theirs; not built for a session, just their actual routine on a day off. On the way home we stopped at North Tenmile Creek with the pups before heading back. I was not directing anything. I was joining something they have done dozens of times, in a place they genuinely love. That is the only reason these photographs look the way they do.
