Chicago, Illinois

Chicago rewards the kind of attention that most cities don't ask for. The architecture pulls light differently here; afternoon gold off glass and stone, shadows that move with the elevated train. Taylor and Andrew took me to Ranalli's in Lincoln Park first, their first date spot, and the session took shape from there. We moved through the city the way you do when you actually know it; unhurried, without a shot list, following what felt right. It ended over drinks at Bambola and Coquette, which was exactly the kind of afternoon I would travel from Denver for every time.
