I'm Mio. I shoot weddings the way a best friend would, if that best friend also happened to be obsessively prepared, could read a room in seconds, and knew exactly where the light was going to land.
I spend as much time with your people as I do with you. Your best friend, your parents, your maid of honor. They know things about you that never make it onto a timeline. They notice moments the two of you won't call out. I pay attention to them because that's where a lot of the truth lives.
By the time your wedding day arrives, I am not a vendor you hired. I am someone your guests have already forgotten has a camera.

I want to know you before I photograph you.
That is not a preference — it's how I do my best work.
I left a career in science because I needed work that used everything I had: precision, curiosity, the ability to read a room and anticipate what comes next.
Wedding photography turned out to be the only place all of it was required at once.
On any given wedding day I am a landscape photographer, a portrait photographer, a street photographer, a documentary filmmaker, and sometimes a calm voice in a loud room. What I care most about is that you feel your coolest; genuinely comfortable and completely yourself - and that the images you hold ten years from now tell the truth about who you were on that day. That is why I do this.
